Resilience in Nazareth

Our Work Continues

On December 10, 2018 our partners, the Sister Ministers of the Infirm, completed the renovation project of a former pig house to a community center that will serve over 60 families.

Mother Superior Uraiwan Sasong spoke of the importance of this center:

The laughter, the smiles of children makes us reflect on the words of Pope Francis:

“Children are a sign. Sign of hope, a sign of life, but also "diagnostic" sign to

understand the state of health of a family, of a society, of the whole world.”

Truly today our charism brings us beyond the beds of the sick and to engage in the promotion of Health and quality of life, starting with the family, through education and prevention.

Our center in Nazareth will be used to provide enrichment activities and events for children of the village. Our partners, the Sister Ministers of the Infirm, will manage the center and classes. It will also serve as an evacuation center for the village, if another disaster occurs in the area.

We are so happy to have been a part of this project. Stay tuned for updates on the events occurring in the center!
